The Most Instagramed Office Buildings in the World Ranked

We might not be spending much time in them as before but there is still no reason why we can’t admire the architectural design and beauty of certain offices around the world.

Interested in office space, Tech blog AddictiveTips sought to find out the most Instagramed offices in the world. It commissioned a study that researched hashtags on Instagram to determine just that.

Data for the study was collated from Instagram on Tuesday 9th February 2021, and all hashtag figures for office buildings are correct as of then.  

• The Empire State Building in New York emerged as the most Instagramed office building in the world, with 4,072,784 hashtags  
• The Shard (1,613,818), Taipei 101 (784,933) and One World Trade Center (598,957) are among the other office buildings with more than 500,000 Instagram hashtags  
• In Europe, other notable office buildings such as the MesseTurm in Frankfurt (18,448) and Torre Iberdrola in Bilbao (13,359) feature in the top 20

Most Instagram-able Office Buildings

AddictiveTips found that the Empire State Building in New York (United States) is the most Instagramed office space in the world, with an astonishing 4,072,784 hashtags.

Located in Midtown Manhattan, the Empire State skyscraper has 102 floors and stands at 443 meters tall. It is designed in the distinctive Art Deco style and is thought of as an American cultural icon.

In second place is The Shard in London (United Kingdom) with 1,613,818 hashtags. Open since the beginning of 2013, the Shard is the tallest building in the United Kingdom at 310 meters.

The Taipei 101 in Taipei City (Taiwan) is in third position. Distinctive for its Asian influenced aesthetics, the eye-catching 508-meter-tall office skyscraper has 784,933 Instagram hashtags.

One World Trade Center (598,957), Willis Tower (410,883) and Chrysler Building (305,212) are among the other office buildings with more than 300,000 hashtags – all of which located in the United States.

In Europe, outside of the United Kingdom, the Messeturm building in Frankfurt (Germany) ranks 15^th with 18,448 hashtags. The 257-meter-tall building opened in 1990 and has 55 floors.

At the other end in Spain, the Torre Iberdrola in Bilbao is in 19^th place with 13,359 hashtags and the Torre Picasso in Madrid is in 20^th spot with 9,173 hashtags.

Overall, office buildings from the United States dominate the list, with 10 out of the 20 most Instagramed office buildings in the world located in the United States.

However, as you can see from the list, there is no shortage of spectacular office buildings from other places around the world, too.
