Awesome responses

great list. a friend of mine told me about basecamp, a project management tool. the drawback is you have to pay to continuously use the program. i haven't tried it yet. would you recommended this tool? thanks.

I'd also add billable.me to the invoice tools. It takes two seconds and it's easy to d/l PDFs (promise I'm not a shill). Great list, too!

This is an awesome list of web resources for writers. I will definitely be using some of these going forward. I especially found the personal finance tools section to be helpful. I hope you don't mind me suggesting another tool for writers (or any other freelancer, small business owner, entrepreneur, etc.). Billy's Billing is a new concept here in the States, but it has received the highest accolades in Denmark. It is the Apple of accounting software, if you will. Easy to use and fully functional for all your bookkeeping and invoicing needs. It was actually developed by entrepreneurs, not accountants. That means it's made to be used by the average Joe (or Jane) who has no formal education or experience in accounting. Visit http://www.BillysBilling.com to find out more about the software specifically designed with YOU in mind. Freelancers can also sign up for email updates, announcements and the chance to be the first in the States to try out Billy's Billing.

Great list. I'm definitely going to bookmark this and keep it around for further reference.

How about adding a dedicated time tracking software or an online timesheet software, so that this resource list will be complete.

Hi David, Thanks for your response... I would be happy to suggest some resources I have used and would like to play my part in making a complete web tool resource post. Some Online timesheets that I use and have used in the past are Replicon online timesheet, Tsheets and Dovico timesheet.
